What’s the latest diet craze these days? Keto is the big one now, before it was Atkins. There’s paleo, vegan, the raw food diet, low-carb, the list could go on and on.
While I’m not a big fan of any diet that you wouldn’t be able to follow long-term (unless for medical reasons), I do agree with a certain concept of eating.
This concept is to eat what nature gives us as the seasons change.
No matter what diet you follow, or what diet is popular right now, you can always choose to center your dishes around food that’s in season locally to where you live.
It’s the start of November, and we’re in the middle of fall. Depending on where you live, you may already have snow, you may still be in t-shirt weather, or you might fall somewhere in the middle.
Eating seasonally doesn’t mean that you follow the seasons the calendar gives; it means that you eat what your local climate is giving you at that time. You might still be on a summer menu, a fall menu, or even a winter menu.
