We gather climate data from across North America and some parts of Europe. If you’re outside of these areas, contact us if you’d like to use the garden planner and we can add your location!  As long as we can find information about your climate, you can use the planner as well.

You can search for plants based on zone, how long it takes to grow them and their ideal growing conditions. So if you live in a cool northern area with short summers, you’ll be able to pick plants that work for your climate. If you live in the south with hot and dry weather, select plants that work great in that weather.

Once you’ve selected your plants, all of the planting dates and schedules are done using math. Based on where you live, we look at how long it takes for that plant to grow, when it’s best to plant in your area and provide you a 100% personalized plan. You can do this math yourself too, but it’s complicated and time consuming.  It’s much easier to use our planner to simply draw out your garden as you see fit, and get the schedule instantly provided to you.
