Fermented radish slices – a salad addition that’s full of probiotics
The start of Spring means radishes are now in season!
And while I absolutely adore them, there’s only so many I can eat at once.
That’s why I needed a way to preserve them so they would last for months.
One of my favourite things to do with any excess vegetable is to ferment them.
It is easy once you’ve done it, and the same principles that I outline in this video can be applied to countless other vegetables.
Fermented carrots are another tasty option.
This video walks through how to take simple radish slices, and turn them into a delicious ferment that you can throw in salads and in sandwiches.
This is a win-win! You get to use up the extra radishes, plus you save on prep-time later since they’re pre-sliced and ready-to-go!
And as a bonus, you get some probiotics to boot!
