Winter is a Great Time for Starting Seeds Outdoors
We usually think about starting seeds outdoors in late spring, after it starts getting warm outside and the garden centers are bursting with plants.
But did you know that you can actually start growing food weeks earlier by starting seeds outdoors in winter?
You don’t have to wait until May or even June to get into your garden. There are many foods that grow extremely well in these cooler temperatures.
I’ll highlight a few of my favorites as I plant them in my garden.
If this is your first time growing in cooler weather, you may want to protect the crops from any frosty overnight temperatures.
